There are literally hundreds of holiday establishments in the resort offering a wide choice of places to stay, ranging from budget and cheap Blackpool accommodation all the way to luxury hotels, enabling visitors to select the facilities that meets their requirements. With this degree of choice holidaymakers are sure to find somewhere to stay that that suits their needs. Look at such factors as your price range, the part of Blackpool you want to stay in, the facilities (e.g. do you want en suite hotel rooms or in the case of selfcatering holiday flats, do you want a self contained flat); do you require car parking; are you looking for family accommodation or somewhere that caters for stag and hen parties?

It is usual To think of Blackpool in terms of three main tourist areas - North Shore, Central, and South Shore. North Shore is generally thought of as a quieter part of town. Here are Blackpool's scenic cliffs and the superb colourful tableaux of the Illuminations. Central Blackpool is the focus of the resort's night clubs and is also the administrative and financial hub of the town. South Shore is more family orientated being near to such attractions as the Pleasure Beach and sandcastle. It is worth emphasising that Blackpool is a comparatively small town and wherever you stay you won't be all that far away from major holiday activities.

Blackpool Accommodation comprises two main sectors: self-catering (holiday flats and apartments, self contained or non self-contained); and serviced accommodation, which in turn is divided into Hotels and Guest Accommodation (including Bed and Breakfasts and Guest Houses). Other terms that are sometimes used to refer to somewhere to stay are lodgings, boarding houses or simply digs, although these are often not clearly defined. Places to stay can be found all year round and the especially busy times are the summer season and illuminations, as well as other occasions such as Easter, and Bank holidays.
